I just tried out the latest version of APM Mission Planner and noticed two cool new features. As usual you can download APM Mission planner here
- Grid Based Mission Planning
This feature allows you to select a square area on the map, specify the altitude, width between each grid line, and the overshoot distance, then APM Mission Planner will do the rest resulting in a nice waypoint grid.
- Joystick Support
Now you can use a joystick plugged into your GCS PC to fly. Simply configure your joystick settings under the Configuration>planner tab.
There are some other minor improvements like allowing you to specify your OSD color which is useful, and pre-fetching map images at multiple zoom levels allowing you to use the planner without an internet connection on the field.
